LTdL 2023 - STAGE INTRODUCTION

Stage 5 is the awaited queen stage of the 2023 Tour and will see riders going through the rural landscapes of south Perak, before arriving at the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur and heading to the famed hills of the Genting Highlands. However, riders will first have to get over the Category 1 climb from Gombak to the Pahang border, before beginning the long and hard ascent to the cool peak of Genting Highlands, where the hors categorie summit tops out at 1625m above sea level, and the biggest opportunity for a GC contender to either seal his win or topple the leader. In any case, expect to witness a superhuman effort, that will also likely be a solo winner for this stage.
